In 1956, Pierre Blachon, a local pharmacist, convinced a handful of producers to join forces. He believed in the huge potential of the region's Muscat wines and the magnificent sun exposure of its vineyards.
Blachon, Haut, Clement, Milhaud, Messonnier, Soard, Mercier & Blanchard laid the cornerstone of the Cave des Vignerons cellar in Beaumes de Venise.
Located between the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux...
... the cellar brings together small family-owned vineyards with shared values.
Some 60 years - and 160 new members - later, the Cave is unquestionably one of the leading producers, in terms of both volume and quality, of Beaumes de Venise and Muscat de Beaumes de Venise.
"The cooperative is grounded in tradition and its regional identity"
"We must take care never to forget the lifestyle, climate, traditions, and history or our region. Our origins are of the utmost importance."
"The Cellar has greatly contributed to viticulture in Beaumes de Venise as well as the appellation's development"
